(Dream date: 16th October, 2023)
I dreamed of a scene of a Jewish family celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot.
They had decorated a broad temporary dwelling with beautiful, colourful decorations, with many hanging lights, and there was a feeling of an abundance of food and drink. There was a sense of enjoyment through the family members and friends gathering together to have fun and to enjoy the festivities.
I then dreamed of an identical scene, with the same family members, celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles in exactly the same environment. Not one visible detail differed from those of the previous dream, yet it was not the same - it reminded me of a moving "spot the difference" puzzle.
Then I heard in my head a voice which told me that the difference between the two scenes was that in the first scenario, the family had gathered together to enjoy the Feast, for their own sake. In the second scenario, the family had gathered to honour GOD through their keeping of the Feast of Tabernacles.
Interpretation: Given that this dream occurred just 9 days after the attacks on 7th October 2023, it seems to draw particular relevance to the importance of keeping of the Feast of Tabernacles by the Jewish population.
I felt the importance that the individuals of and nation of Israel honour GOD through such commemorative feasts, as they are the nation chosen to be priest among the nations: if they neglect to honour GOD, they bear the brunt of their neglect. The Feast of Tabernacles is of particular relevance to all nations of the world, as Scripture states that all peoples shall one day also be required to honour this Feast, when Messiah reigns again in Jerusalem.
The dreams reminded me of the way in which many people may celebrate Christmas, yet without any (or scant) thought of the reason for the celebration, as in the birth of Jesus. They simply enjoy the physical pleasures of gathering, parties, eating, decorating, gift-giving... yet without making any connection to GOD.
