Dream date: Summer 2025
I dreamed that Jesus told me that one day, people would be unable to read any more.
I was not told or shown what would bring that about.
But I felt a joyful feeling, as if my soul cried, "Yes!"
I knew that this would mean that people would no longer be able to read from GOD's Word in the Bible, and thus the Church would be unable to rely upon preaching from the written Word (unless such things had been committed to memory, or were brought to mind by His Spirit). Instead, their faith and witness would need to be shared through acting upon the wisdom and teaching of Scripture.
People would need to demonstrate miracles in the power of Jesus' name, in order to spread the message of GOD's kingdom and salvation in Christ. They would need to live and demonstrate their faith, offering living proof of the reality of Christ, rather than the written Word.
There was a feeling of vitality, youthfulness, and of being liberated from the realm of the intellect.
Additional thoughts upon waking: This dream brings extra meaning to that which was spoken by the Lord Jesus to the Apostle John in Revelation 22:7, seeing as the Book of Revelation is full of prophetic insight into the last days on earth.
Revelation 22:7 (NKJV Bible):
"Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."
It also brought to mind a passage from 1 Enoch, in which one of the fallen angels, Penemue, is noted for having brought knowledge of the written word to humanity.
The First Book of Enoch: Ch. 69: 9,10 - (from The Books of Enoch, as presented by Dr. Joseph B. Lumpkin p.90. Fifth Estate Publishers, 2011.)
"And he instructed mankind in writing with ink and paper, and thereby many sinned from eternity to eternity and until this day, for men were not created for the purpose of confirming their good faith with pen and ink."
